I must say that the NZXT Phantom is superior in quality and offers many great features. The amount of space on the interior is astronomical and will surely be a great choice for many computer users today, as well as for long periods of time in the future. NZXT has brought a lot of features to the table with the Phantom that are new to me and surely new to many others. The integrated fan controller is probably my favorite, though not completely necessary for the fans packaged with the Phantom as they already are silent at full speed. However 20W per channel can supply enough power to any high speed fan on the market. The case is almost 100% toolless (aside from installing the motherboard itself) and can speed up installations greatly. The mesh panels are also a great addition as they look great while acting as a subtle way to improve airflow throughout the entire case. Even a dual radiator can be installed next to the motherboard on the inside of the case on top of where the wire management slots are located.
However, there are several things that I wish were a little bit different on the Phantom. Though preferred by some, the high gloss finish acquires fingerprints very easily and can require a frequent wiping if the case is handled regularly. Also, it must be the motherboard that I'm using, because I have yet to discover a case with a heatsink mounting access hole that is positioned the right way to work with it. With the MSI X58 Platinum SLI, two of the holes there are inaccessible. Making the cutout slightly taller would fix it, but it always seems that this is the case. This means that any user whose mounting holes are too high or too low will be required to remove the motherboard completely to install or change a heatsink that bolts directly to the motherboard.
Aside from those two complaints, I can definitely make the statement that the NZXT is a great computer case and I doubt I'll be letting it go for a while. The air cooling options are stellar, and serious overclockers using water or phase-change cooling for their expensive hardware will enjoy having multiple cooling avenues to choose from. The included water relay line holes on the back panel of the case was also a great addition for external watercooling solutions.
The overall design and construction of the Phantom is downright gorgeous and included numerous aircooling options that will be more than enough for most enthusiasts and gamers. The tool-less hard drive cages and optical bays made installation quick and painless too. Cable management was also a huge plus with this case as their was ample room to hide data and power cables behind the motherboard. I'm sure NZXT will get a warm reception from enthusiasts on the Phantom and we have high expectations for the company as they become a larger competitor in the PC case industry.

Overall we would say the NZXT Phantom chassis is aimed towards computer enthusiasts and gamers who are looking for an excellent chassis for today and will be future proof for a while to come. The black interior is well done and the vented side panel where an optional 230mm intake fan to cool those heat producing video cards cannot go unnoticed. The aesthetics are beautiful. The features are well executed and you will be getting the build quality of NZXT, with the latest and greatest features all wrapped up in a very reasonable price.
We are told that the NZXT Phantom will be available with at the price of $139 USD. We believe this is a more than reasonable price in a tough competitive market filled with literally hundreds of competitors available in this price range.

The NZXT Phantom is a fantastic case that has just about everything a gamer could want including robust cooling and fantastic looks.
The NZXT Phantom is an excellent example of form and function working together. With four fans included in the stock configuration and room for three more, you can expect plenty of cooling performance. The integrated, and prewired, five-channel fan controller makes adjusting these fans a relatively easy process.
The NZXT Phantom at my first glimpse gave me that wow feeling. The further and further I got into reviewing this case, the more that I enjoyed it. The case is built with enthusiasts in mind. It has plenty of features anyone would want with a sleek and sexy touch.
Overall, the Phantom should really be praised for its look and its cooling capabilities. Even though it has some flaws, it is a great candidate for housing any gaming or enthusiast system!

The NZXT Phantom is one of the nicest cases I’ve had the chance to review in a long time honestly. Aesthetically it’s certainly unique, it has a look to it like none other really, and I truly like it. Inside you’ll find a lot of room for a lot of stuff, plenty of room for large video cards and many hard drives for lots of storage.

All in all I'm very pleased to have reviewed the NZXT Phantom full tower case. With the room it has to offer on the inside as well as the external fan controllers, cooling performance, and access to backside of the CPU cooler, the Phantom receives the BigBruin.com "Recommended" award!

NZXT hat es unserer Meinung nach geschafft, tatsächlich ihr bestes Gehäuse zu präsentieren. Die Lautstärke ist für jeden frei wählbar, das entspricht natürlich damit auch der gewünschten Kühlleistung, die sich schon in der Standard-Ausführung sehen lassen kann. Schade, dass im Lieferumfang der Frontlüfter nur optional zu beziehen ist. Ansonsten lassen sich auf Wunsch auch noch weitere Lüfter im Deckel und Seitenteil einsetzen. Sehr gut ist auch die Lösung für Wasserkühlungen, in denen Einbauschienen den Radiator im Gehäusedeckel fixieren. Der Lieferumfang und die Anleitung sind ansonsten ausreichend. Die Verarbeitung sowie die gesamte Lackierung sind frei von Mängeln und die Kabelführung ist gut durchdacht. Der Preis des High-End Towers liegt bei rund 140,00 Euro und ist für die gezeigte Leistung in Ordnung. Das NZXT Phantom bekommt die uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung der Technic3D Redaktion. Zu beziehen ist das Gehäuse unter anderem bei Caseking.

The sheer size, the smooth contours, and glossy finish are the initial attractions, and it goes even deeper than that – excellent cooling performance, clean cable management, and an easy installation seal the deal. It’s hard to bring out the bad in a chassis built like this. I would say NZXT’s new Phantom is designed ground for any enthusiast needing a high performance chassis for their superior gaming rig.
I took a good long look at the NZXT Phantom Case and it's not very often that a case comes along that has all the right things, and everyone's head seems to turn towards it in unison. The NZXT Phantom is a one of a kind case that deserves a spot in the PC Case Hall of Fame if there were one.

The only thing mising was a front intake fan which is common in cases of this caliber, however this has plenty of side panel cooling to make up for that. As a result of the many positive aspects of this csae (mentioned in the video review) PCWizKid gives this a "Editor's Choice" award for best in its class.
After reading this article, you will probably understand that the Phantom is a very nice and excellent chassis. For its beauty, even if we give our opinion, we'll let you judge for yourself, although we are tempted to say that the Phantom is really gorgeous, especially in this white version.
In the end, the Phantom is an excellent quality case made by a very well-respected company that definitely knows how to make a great enthusiast enclosure. A unique and well thought out design, great mix of interesting features and a healthy dose of functionality make this chassis nearly perfect. And with the long list of features it does not break the bank, costing just 140 Euros. While this is by no means a budget chassis, the price / price performance is excellent.

Would I recommend this case? Yes, it is not very often a product changes my mind after first impressions but the Phantom is definitely one of those occasions. Although personally I would still suggest getting a while one because they are beautiful, all of the colors still have the same features and the features are what sell you on the style...

Thanks to tons of features, multiple color options, and great value, we have deemed this case a winner. If you need a case with a ton of features and tons of room without spending big money then you'll want to give the NZXT Phantom some serious consideration.
Kommen wir zum Fazit. Wirkliche Schwächen hat sich das NZXT Phantom nicht geleistet. Zu den positiven Aspekten zählen die saubere Verarbeitung sowie der schwarz lackierte und damit voll im Trend liegende Innenraum. Mit den weißen Lüftern haben die Kalifornier geschickt farbliche Akzente gesetzt.
Wer Wert auf ein ausgefallenes Design und gute Verarbeitung in Verbindung mit einer guten und stark ausbaufähigen Kühllösung legt, bekommt hier jedoch super Gehäuse mit einem spitzen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

NZXT hat mit dem Phantom Midi Tower endlich mal wieder ein attraktives Gehäuse aus dem Hut gezaubert, das nicht so aussieht, als stamme es aus dem Institut Ugly and Friends. Die Lackierung darf durchaus als gelungen bewertet werden, dies gilt auch für die Kühlleistung, das Platzangebot und einigen Ausstattungsaspekten.
Wer es futuristisch mag, kann sich in den Phantom Tower nur verlieben! Empfehlung der Redaktion!
Es ist den Amerikanern von NZXT ohne Frage gelungen, einen Big-Tower zu kreieren, der die meisten anderen Gehäuse in den Schatten stellt. The NZXT Phantom definitely is one of the best PC cases we have tested this year and ranks up there with the stature of say, a Cooler Master HAF-X, yet better looking. Well done and very much recommended.
In addition to all of the performance/installation convenience that the rest of the article covered, I think the case itself is simply beautiful. The sleek shape and finish on the Phantom looks great.
NZXT made the Phantom to appeal to everyone, being able to choose the color that you want between red, white or black. The black model will be the most neutral of course, but we bet that the red model if combined with a motherboard like the Crosshair IV from ASUS and with AMD video cards would be a great match.
he NZXT Phantom has numerous great features to it, which will make this case stand out from the majority of the other cases on the market. The wire management was very well thought out and performed great in our tests keeping the case looking clean and clear so the fresh air could move through freely.
Over all, the Phantom is a very capable full-tower chassis that is roomy, configurable and well appointed with very well executed performance and convenience features. The distinctive look and top-notch finish combine for a case that will make a definite presence for the discerning enthusiast.
