Even so, with glowing lights and a fancy touch screen, the NZXT Sentry 2 managed to find a place in my heart. If you're looking for a fan controller, I'd pick up a Sentry 2!
The functionality of the NZXT Sentry 2 is undeniable. The touchscreen controls are quick and accurate, and having five temperature probes at your disposal is a handy tool for the overclocker with degrees on his/her mind.
Overall, I’d say the NZXT Sentry 2 is definitely a great fan controller. The touch screen interface is very easy to use and requires very little pressure; and the screen is a definite improvement over the Sentry LX.

The product has very few down sides, which really aren't deal-breakers, and that could easily be fixed. Having used the previous model, the Sentry 1, this second iteration is miles ahead in every aspect.
NZXT has added some of the best attributes of fan controllers into one simple easy to use unit. The Sentry 2 is easy to use, has a bright & large enough of a display to read our temperatures quickly and effortlessly. Switching from one temperature/fan control mode to another is as easy as counting 1,2,3.
NZXY Sentry 2 is a good fan controller. Its strong points are the presence of five temperature sensors and the capacity of controlling five fans, in manual or automatic modes. The high temperature and stopped fan alarms are also very useful.
Given the relative short amount of time I've had with the Sentry 2 it has been a pleasure. Except for the poor instructions I've had no issues at all except deciding which bay to install to. I can easily recommend this to anyone wanting easy operation and control of your case fans.
I have no qualms giving the Sentry 2 a solid 9 out of 10 rating. Build quality is excellent and functionality is quite possibly the best to have come across my desk in regards to a fan controller. Everything works as it should and we are given a wide range of choices as to how the fans are run in the system.

The Sentry 2 is a huge improvement over the Sentry LX and like the Sentry LX we award it our Kick Ass Award, but this time it gets all 5 stars instead of just 4.
The fan control is great as it doesn't require rpm monitored fans and can work with 3-pin fans as well as standard 4-pin Molex fans. While not as slick as the Sentry LX, the Sentry 2 gets the job done and does it very well. It has almost the same feature set and costs about half the price.

Overall the NZXT Sentry 2 is an improvement to the original Sentry controller. It brings a lot more color and functionality than the original. It's very easy to use and it works just like it's supposed to.
The Sentry 2 is a big leap over any other currently available fan controller in both features and design. Being able to handle up to five of the most powerful fans is a major bonus. Even the mighty Panaflo and Vantec Tornados are no match.

Fan controllers are a godsend in these days of high heat hardware and multiple cooling fans. They allow us to have the perfect blend between cooling performance and noise, whilst still providing the ability to move towards either end of the quiet/performance spectrum as your usage changes from browsing to gaming or similar variations in programs.
So what about the NZXT Sentry 2? It's difficult to sum it up without being overly brief. It's great. It does, to borrow a phrase, exactly what it says on the box.
The screen is big, clear, responsive and easy to use. Nothing about it is fiddly or difficult. It controls the fans well and has enough range to tame even the loudest systems. Assuming you aren't running 5 Deltas, obviously. The ability to turn them off completely is a boon and a feature always welcome.
The alarm works exactly as it should, and it is good to see NZXT including both temperature and dead-fan alarms, both of them making a different noise for instant recognition.
With a user friendly interface and adequate temperature controls, the Sentry 2 is certainly one of the better options on the fan controller market. Mehr …Weniger …
Simple packaging and quality material provide for easy unpacking and installation. The controller is well protected to ensure that it looks its best when installed. The five fan capacity is a definate plus, with most controllers having only capacity for four. The touch screen is not only intuitive but also eliminates unsightly knobs and switch sticking out of the front of your case. Auto/manual controls helps the user maximize the performance of their fans in accordance to the corresponding temperature gauges, though adjusting speeds without can be a bit of a pain. With a user friendly interface and adequate temperature controls, the Sentry 2 is certainly one of the better options on the fan controller market. And with an MSRP of $29.99, it certainly gives its competitors' a run for their money.

Searching the web finds that the NZXT Sentry 2 has a rather economical price tag... Just $30 at places like Newegg.com. Considering the features and styling, the price makes the Sentry 2 even more appealing.
All in all, we are impressed with the Sentry 2, and feel confident that anyone that needs control over their fans should have this on their short list of fan controllers to add to their current or future system builds. Mehr …Weniger …
Seeing as how this design is the first of its kind, the $30 USD price tag is actually quite cheep considering the control, aesthetics, and number of functions you get included. There are many other dial type controllers and even some with digital displays that aren’t touch screen that can sell for over $50, so again, NZXT has set a very attractive price point here.
Found the Sentry II to be an excellent product, installation was a snap, packaging and the care of the contents were amazing and the ease of use is simplistic. This is a feature packed very inexpensive item.
