A base clamp is stuck to the headphones of your choice, and this allows the microphone boom to be magnetically attached (or removed) at your convenience. The ModMic V5 folds up or down at a 90 degree angle, and the boom itself is both flexible and malleable. Thanks to its magnetism the microphone can also be attached to a steel case for safekeeping or simply stowed away in the bundled protective case.
