The Turing mid-range card has finally arrived in the form of the GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong>! With 1.920 CUDA Cores and 6 GB of fast GDDR6-VRAM, the RTX 2060<\/strong> is a very good gaming graphics card with excellent price-to-performance. The Turing-based TU106 GPU, on which the RTX 2060<\/strong> is built, unlocks entry into the world of real-time ray tracing complete with incredible light- and shadow effects. <\/p>\n

The GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> is available in multiple variants from NVIDIA’s partners. ASUS, EVGA, Gainward, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and ZOTAC are all offering the RTX 2060<\/strong>, some even come with factory overclocks, while others use blower-style coolers with radial fans, and some use dual- or even triple-fan designs. Due to the low TDP of approximately 170 Watts, the RTX 2060<\/strong> is also available in short PCB models, the perfect addition to Mini-ITX systems e.g those built inside an HTPC case. <\/p>\n

Update 5: First Benchmarks for NVIDIA’s New Graphics Card<\/h3>\n

Computerbase.de (external link)<\/a> has tested the GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> and published the first benchmark results for NVIDIA’s new gaming graphics card. The specialists publication has got down to the nuts and bolts of the Turing mid-range card with an extensive report that we link to below. One thing is clear, however: the new GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> is an extremely high-performance gaming graphics card that comes in at a surprisingly competitive price-to-performance bracket. <\/p>\n

Aside from Computerbase.de, lots of tech reviewers on Youtube have already tested the RTX 2060<\/strong>. The picture that has begun to emerge from said tests is already shaping up to be a positive one. This is due in no small part to the fact that it surpasses the GTX 1070 in many tests, in fact the GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> faces off against the GTX 1070 Ti – with the TU106 chip even trading blows with the GTX 1080 under certain circumstances. <\/p>\n

Update 4: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 previewed at CES2019!<\/h3>\n

NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang has used the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas to show off the GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> gaming graphics card. The RTX 2060<\/strong> offers real-time ray-tracing. As with all Turing-series graphics cards, the TU106 GPU of the GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> supplements the standard CUDA Cores with new ray-tracing and Tensor cores. The Tensor cores enable features such as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). DLSS is an anti-aliasing technology that harnesses Deep Learning in order to train the chip to perform more efficient super-sampling. <\/p>\n

The GeForce RTX 2060<\/strong> is a mid-range graphics card with an excellent price-to-performance proposition behind it. Gaming in Full HD and even WQHD (2.560 x 1.440) is a breeze.
