The 8Pack Asteroid is a high-performance gaming PC, packed with a selection of the latest hardware and technologies. Equipped with an ASUS Z790 chipset motherboard situated to the right of the case, this gaming is able to utilise the latest from Intel processors. The Intel Core i9-13900KS CPU has twenty-four cores, a balance of eight P-cores and sixteen E-cores, as well as thirty-two threads, making it ideal for heavy duty multitasking, content creation, and high-octane gaming. To optimise performance, the P- and E-cores have both been overclocked to reach speeds of 5.5 GHz and 4.3 GHz, respectively.
For the ultimate in visuals, the 8Pack Asteroid harnesses the power of third generation RTX, known as Ada Lovelace architecture. Armed with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, this gaming PC has 16,384 CUDA cores and 24 GB GDRR6X VRAM at its disposal to facilitate the smoothest graphics. To match the performance of this latest gen tech, the 8Pack Asteroid is equipped with lightning-fast DDR5 RAM. As standard, this gaming PC utilises 32 GB in a dual-channel configuration at 5600 MHz. Should you need more memory for complex rendering tasks and creative projects, this can be increased to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM.
What’s more, the 8Pack Asteroid has a high-speed storage solution to match. For primary storage, take advantage of a WD Black SN850 1 TB SSD with read and write speeds of 7000 MB/s and 5300 MB/s, respectively. This ultra-fast NVMe SSD utilises PCIe 4.0 technology, making it the perfect place to store your games, operating system, and frequently used applications. Providing even more capacity, the 8Pack Asteroid comes with a secondary Samsung 870 QVO 4 TB 2.5” SSD. Say goodbye to slow loading times and running out of space!
Powering this phenomenal machine is an ASUS Loki SFX-L PSU. Supplying 1000 W of power, this PSU is rated with an 80 PLUS Platinum certification. This means at half load it runs with 92% efficiency, minimising power loss and heat transfer.
Out-of-this-world Cooling
To keep the 8Pack Asteroid running at optimum temperatures, it needs an incredibly efficient thermal solution. As such, it is equipped with a fully custom water-cooling loop, comprised of EK Water Blocks hardware, Corsair Hydro X Series radiators, and bespoke distro plates.
For its beating heart, this water-cooling loop has a D5 pump and custom reservoir, chosen for its reliability and consistent performance. Hard tubing is routed around the Mini-ITX chassis, feeding into custom-made distro plates. What’s more, the Asteroid features stunning 8Pack branding where the motherboard tray usually rests.
Unique to this gaming PC, however, is the bespoke 20mm aluminium distro plate with acrylic inserts serving as the bottom of the main chamber. This, too, has iconic 8Pack branding as well as futuristic channels that emulates the tube routing. Both the GPU and CPU have dedicated water blocks to maintain their temperatures.
In addition to the phenomenal water-cooling loop, the 8Pack Asteroid has ample natural airflow, created by hexagonal cut-outs. These are arranged in an “8” shape on the front, as well as placed on the PSU shroud to aid in ventilation. Enhancing this airflow are a selection of Noctua high-performance PWM fans, which can be configured utilising the Aqua Computer Aquero 6 Fan Controller.
Futuristic Aesthetics
One of the most stunning details on the 8Pack Asteroid is its case. Tailor-made in house, this Mini-ITX case comes in a bright, mirror-finished aluminium, with accenting carbon fibre interior panels. With such an incredible, futuristic aesthetic, this high-powered gaming PC would look right at home in a spaceship!
What’s more, there are a number of materials and finishes you can choose for the 8Pack Asteroid case. Instead of mirror-finish aluminium, you can opt for complete carbon fibre panelling, bead-blasted aluminium for a more subtle aesthetic, full acrylic akin to the 8Pack Meteoroid, or even aluminium featuring panels coloured with Cerakote.
