This premium all-in-one water cooler from Alpenföhn was developed in cooperation with overclocking expert der8auer. It is suitable for overclocked systems and has silent operations. Alpenföhn Gletscherwasser 280: suitable for silent and overclocking systems

The Gletscherwasser 280 from Alpenföhn has been optimized for high performance and quiet operation. This is due to a 27 mm thick aluminium radiator, a well thought-out pump unit design and two 140mm Wing Boost 3 ARGB fans.

The pump unit's two chamber design reduces noise and increases performance and lifespan. A copper baseplate features a large surface area with micro-channels for rapid heat transfer to the coolant. The cooler's pump operates between 1,200 and 2,550 rpm, making it suitable for both silent operation and overclocking. It achieves a maximum noise level of only 17.8 dB(A).

Together with the PWM-controlled 140mm Wing Boost 3 ARGB fans, quiet operation at maximum cooling capacity is guaranteed. The fans operate in a speed range from 500 to 2,000 rpm and distribute up to 175.6 m³/h of air at up to 2.85 mmH20 static pressure.

Eye-catching design: ARGB and adjustable logos

In addition to its strong performance, the Gletscherwasser 280 also scores points for its elegant appearance. All component parts are completely black, showing the digitally addressable RGB lighting in the fans and pump housing at its best. The lighting is connected to the motherboard via a 3-pin RGB (5V) connector and can be synchronized with other elements via software. Alternatively, illumination can also be controlled with the included remote control.

Another visual highlight is the cooler's rotatable logo plate. Its alignment can be adjusted in increments of 90° against the cooler's mounting orientation. Included in the bundle of prefabricated logo plates is a transparent variant for user made designs, ideal for your own logos, handles, and more. Also included is Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut thermal paste, offering excellent thermal conductivity.

Wie wir es schon aus unserem Test der kleineren 240-mm-Version sowie der größeren 360-mm-Version kennen, konnte auch die neue Gletscherwasser 280 nicht nur durch eine sehr gute Kühlleistung punkteten, sondern auch durch eine sehr gute Verarbeitung sowie einem besonders schicken Design. Von der optischen Seite her setzt sich die AiO-Wakü nicht nur mit eingeschalteter Beleuchtung von vergleichbaren Modellen ab, sondern sie ziehet dank des glänzend schwarz lackierten Pumpengehäuses, welches sich durch die austauschbare Logo Platte sehr gut individualisieren lässt, auch im ausgeschalteten Zustand schon viele Blicke auf sich. Abgerundet wird das Design neben der adressierbaren RGB-Beleuchtung auch durch die sehr sauber gesleevten Schläuche. Die in unserem Test erreichte Kühlleistung erzielt die AiO-Wasserkühlung neben einer starken und gleichzeitig leisen Pumpe auch durch zwei sehr leistungsstarke, jedoch bei maximaler Drehzahl auch lauten Lüftern
