The reservoirs of the aqualis-ECO series are equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass, which, unlike the acrylic glass commonly used for tube reservoirs, has very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion, and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid of the aqualis series are made of Delrin, and the lid and base are connected by a nickel-plated brass tube. An optical highlight is the integrated water column effect.

If the return line is connected to the central connection of the aqualis, the water flows through the central brass tube to the lid and exits through eight openings, which is a real eye-catcher especially when combined with lighting. A thin acrylic glass plate near the bottom of the aqualis reduces air entry into the circuit to a minimum. Alternatively, the return can be connected to a side connection, in which case the water flows from the bottom back into the reservoir. For this configuration, a baffle plate is included, which in turn ensures good ventilation of the circuit.

All 450 ml variants are also available with a nanocoating, which allows water to simply bead off the inside of the glass tube. This is the case with the present variant and additionally provides a great visual effect.
