The Ducky One 2 Backlit PBT radiates minimalist beauty along with a blend of new features and sought after design concepts that became popular with its predecessor, the Ducky One. As always Ducky has used reliable Cherry MX switches and combined them with PBT double-shot keys. These features are then packed into a slim, black and white case with a narrow and stylish frame - all rounded off by the addition of blue LED background lighting.

Mechanical Cherry MX Red Switches
This Ducky One 2 Backlit PBT with white LED lighting employs Cherry MX Red switches. Cherry MX Red switches offer a very light, almost imperceptible activation point and are characterised by their low activation force. This makes them ideal for multiple clicks in short succession, such as in FPS games, since a tactile activation point is not necessarily important, especially as keys will be quickly and repeatedly in the heat of battle in any case.
Design, Aesthetics & Materials
The key caps are made of polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, and are produced using the double-shot process meaning they are significantly more durable thankeys manufactured with
ABS. In this process, plastic is poured around a shaped piece of metal or plastic so as to allow the two components to be joined together. The lower part of the key is made from a material that allows light to pass through while the upper layer, excluding the lettering of course, prevents light from passing through. This allows the LEDs beneath the letters to shine through and illuminate the keyboard.
Stylish LED Backlighting
The LEDs can be adjusted with four different effects including Breathing, Raindrop, Reactive and Wave. The full-backlight mode illuminates all keys while the LED Zone Customization Mode enables custom profiles to be applied to the keys' lighting. In addition to the LED modes, the brightness and speed of the lighting effects can also be quickly and conveniently changed.
Functions & Features of the Ducky One 2 Backlit PBT Gaming Keyboardd
The popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are virtually "indestructible" and, due to the variety of switches, are p erfect for every kind of gamer. Thanks to USB-N-key rollover, multiple buttonos can be pressed simultaneouosly without resulting in "ghosting" or other problems. The 1.000 Hz polling rate also helps avoid any performance issues and t his is paired with a modern USB Type C connector on the keyboard end of the cable while the other end uses a standard Type A connector.
The powerful ARM M3 micro-controller of the Ducky One 2 also assists in optimising communication between the keyboard and the PC while simultaneously taking responsibility for control over macros, profile saving and other functions. The Ducky also uses a dual-layered PCB that increases the lifespan and the signal stability of the keyboard. In addition to the multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also enables the mouse cursor to be controlled via keyboard. In order to fit the ergonomic needs of individual users, the Ducky One 2 provides three postitions: folded-in as well as half- and fully-extended. In addition to the selection of different switch variants, a variety of colours can also be selected.
Note: For the background lighting to function optimally, we recommend that users download and update to the keyboard's latest firmware version.
