Why Cool My Graphics Card with Water?Peak performance in the GPU segment typical comes with a caveat: excessive heat. Aesthetics and Ports of the EK Water Blocks EK-Vector RTX RE RGBThis pertains to a full-block design which covers all the relevant heat sources on the graphics card, offering effective cooling for the GPU, the memory and the VRM. The cooling is improved yet further with the use of electrolytic copper and an optimised channel structure to maximise thermal conductivity and dissipation.
The cover consists of transparent acrylic glass. The case is illuminated with the help of several RGB-LEDs. The LED strip can be connected to a compatible motherboard (ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, ASRock Polychrome Sync) via a 4-pin 12VGRB connector. The connecting terminal includes four holes (G1/4 thread). The flat design of the cooler also makes connecting multiple graphics cards e.g with NVIDIA's NVLink a breeze.
Note 1: Integration into a custom loop will require fittings not included within the scope of the included parts. Thermal paste and pads are included to maximise contact between the cooler and the graphics card. Users should bear in mind that the cooler is exclusively for use with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 reference design graphics cards! The original cooler must be removed prior to installation, which will invalidate the manufacturer's guarantee.
Note 2: This block is not compatible with the factory default backplate of the GeForce RTX 2080. The original NVIDIA NVLink bridges can however still be used.
