The Fractal Design Define R6 Black is the continuation of an innovative and sought after case design and represents sleek and stylish aesthetics in a way few other Midi-Towers do. The case offers a brushed aluminium front and an angular shape. All this combines to make the Define R6 an incredibly attractive case. Fractal Design even improved the case further in comparison to its predecessor the R5. The R6 offers even more room for hardware and the graphics card can now be installed vertically - a masterstroke!

Elegant 6th Generation Case

The front of this case is entirely plane and uninterrupted by an I/O panel - the drives and large air inlets with the fans that come installed behind them in the lower section of the case are covered by a sound insulated front door in brushed aluminium - this door can be mounted to open either to the left or to the right. The I/O panel on the top of this elegant case includes two USB 3.0-, two USB 2.0 ports and two audio jacks along with an attractively designed power button and discrete status LED.

The interior matches the colour of the case and is highlighted by the white drive bays and fan blades and shines among the competition with its capacity for great cooling and space for hardware. The drive bays can be covered using the standard layout if you prefer, or on show with the open layout. In addition to ATX-, Micro-ATX- and Mini-ITX motherboards seven expansion cards can be installed into the case. Additionally, the Define R6 Black offers two vertical expansion slots, which can be used with an optionally available riser cable to install a 2,5" slot graphics card.

Masses of Room for Drives & Dust Filters

Even large E-ATX motherboards up to 285 mm wide will fit in this case. A drive cage for an optical 5,25" drive can easily be removed for extra radiator space or other hardware. Moreover, six 3,5" drives can be installed in the available slots, of course they can also be used for 2,5" drives as well. The case offers two dedicated 2,5" slots directly on the reverse of the motherboard tray.

The patented ModuVent design allows the top, along with the dust filter, to be removed without requiring tools. This feature allows your hardware to remain clean and free of dust, keeping everything looking brand new. Three Fractal Design Dynamic GP-14 140 mm fans ensure plenty of airflow and operate in absolute silence. Six additional fans can be installed at the top, front, bottom and sides. With the installed Nexus+ Smart Hub all nine fans can be controlled with a single PWM connector.

CPU coolers can be installed in the Fractal Design R6 Black with a height of up to 185 mm. With the installed HDD cover, graphics cards are limited to 300 mm in length and 155 mm in height, without it they may be up to 440 mm long. All in all this case offers an abundance of opportunities for water cooling. Radiators up to 420 mm in size can be installed at the top and 360 mm radiators in the front are possible. The bottom of the case also serves to offer space for 240/280 mm rads.

Note: The requisite PCIe riser cable is not included and must be purchased separately. The graphics card must not be higher than two slots for vertical mounting.
