Choice of Switches
The Glorious GMMK TKL follows an interesting concept: instead of forcibly removing the switches from your beloved keyboard or replacing them with a soldering iron, the switches from Cherry, Kailh, Gateron, and others can simply be pulled out and swapped. After hours of typing, just replace the Browns with Blues and really heat things up for your opponent at the PC. Or simply equip the WASD keys with Cherry Reds, the Enter and Space keys with Blues, and the rest with Browns. The modular GMMK TKL offers countless possibilities to customise the keyboard.
For this, Glorious also provides the appropriate tools. Included are both a keycap and a switch puller with which all keys of the GMMK TKL can be completely replaced in just a few minutes. Otherwise, the keyboard is extremely well made. A stylish brushed aluminium faceplate not only gives the keyboard an elegant appearance but also ensures high stability in the heat of battle.
Professional Keyboard with Excellent Features
Of course, the Glorious GMMK TKL comes with all the comforts of a professional keyboard, such as full anti-ghosting with N-Key rollover via USB, where no key presses are lost, regardless of how many are pressed simultaneously. To avoid suddenly finding yourself staring at a blank Windows desktop during a fight, the Windows key can be disabled. The keyboard connects via USB 2.0 with a completely modular, approximately 1.8 m long cable with textile covering. Glorious has also included a Type-A to Micro-USB adapter.
The RGB lighting, along with 18 effects, can be activated via key combination and configured individually, then saved in a profile. Alternatively, you can use the included software for this. However, special drivers are not required; the GMMK TKL works largely under Mac OS X and Linux as well. In this version, the Brown switches from Gateron and high-quality ABS doubleshot keycaps for a US layout are included.
