HTC's Lighthouse base station allows the position of the Vive headset and the controllers to be tracked and wirelessly synchronised with one another. The system works with millimetre-scale precision and the black box is equipped with a layer of infrared LEDs along with two lasers, one each for tracking the vertical and horizontal axes.The station receives power via the included power supply and is designed for easy installation thanks to the ¼" 20-thread UNC connector which is designed for camera tripods.
