Product information - H500i Midi-Tower - White WindowThe H500i is the new premium Midi-Tower from NZXT. This case comes with an angular design whose exterior is also very sleek and minimalist. The rectangular-shaped case exceeded expectations thanks to its impressive matte white surfaces and the fact that the left side consists of a tempered glass window that allows users an unobstructed view of the black interior with white accents of the H500i.
The Features of the NZXT H500i
- Minimalistist, white and black case from NZXT
- Tempered glass side window
- Space for 280 mm radiators
- Bays for seven 2,5" drives
- Integrated controller for fans and RGB-LED-Lighting
The NZXT H500i Midi-Tower in DetailThe front of this case is clean and minimalist while the I/O panel is located on the top of this dream case. This panel comes with two USB 3.0 ports and two audio inputs as well as a discrete power button. Cable management is also a breeze thanks to the 23 mm of space.
The NZXT H500i Midi-Tower comes with a special feature, namely an integrated controller, a smart device with CAM support. This is used for controlling the pre-installed Aer F-fans as well as both RGB-LEDs, lighting that is the first thing users will notice as they look through the tempered glass side window. Additional fans or even more LED strips can of course also be installed. An acoustic sensor aids in finding the optimal balance between cooling and noise. Control is made possible by means of the feature-rich software available on PC.
Plenty of Space for HardwareThe black interior provides lots of space, meaning that ATX-, Micro-ATX- and Mini-ITX motherboards along with seven expansion cards can all fit in the case. Up to two 3,5" drives also fit in the drive cage. Additionally there are two 2,5" brackets available to the rear of the motherboard tray or the PSU shroud. Dust filters are also available in abundance: on the right side panel, on the bottom towards the front, on the power supply and on the top.
The NZXT H500i Midi-Tower offers plenty of space for AiO water cooling solutions or even a custom loop. The front and top of the case both offer space for 280 mm radiators. As an alternative to the two pre-installed 120 mm fans on the top, users are also free to install 140 mm fans instead. For those wanting to install a tower-style CPU cooler, the case offers up to 165 mm of clearance. The graphics card can be up to 381 mm in length.

...cable management..through other channels quick and easy. No complaints here.
...this one gives you a little bit more character and elegance...
and for the 30$ premium you are getting the fan controller and LED strips. So its cheaper to go that route instead of buying them individually so if you are after the bling and potentially adding more fans and having all that control through cam software...read more...
Summary: Announced at 110 €, this H500i is convincing. It has equipment and certain features normally reserved for more expensive solutions. NZXT plays the price/performance ratio card and the bet is won. Its modern architecture is enhanced by two LED strips and the wiring management is relevant. Its ventilation and backlighting are customizable. Finally, its clean and sober look benefits from a large tempered glass side window. In the end, the services are there to face its price despite some defects (filter, HDD cage).read more...

The quality is good, but keep in mind the price bracket.
Still, we only see one path for NZXT’s H500 and H500i, and that is the one leading to become the most popular compact, affordable ‘clean’ mid-tower of its generation. Build quality is great (all steel) and the finish is actually fantastic for this pricepoint. It has all the modern features we’d expect such as dust filters, a PSU shroud, great cable management, compact dimensions while still retaining options for full-size GPU’s and watercooling, and we see some very decent evolution for example in the way the tempered glass panel is mounted without any visible screws (at least from the front and side), as well as the way the rear panel goes on.read more...
