Die Verarbeitung überzeugt durch eine hochwertige Materialwahl. Das matte Aluminium, die Glastüren und der stabile Stahlrahmen fühlen sich gut an und sehen auch nach einer gehobenen Qualität aus. Die etwas lose angebrachte Radiator-Halterung im Deckel hat für mich aber ein wenig zu viel Spielraum und sollte mit Kunststoff-Unterlegscheiben oder Moosgummi gedämmt werden. Eine integrierte PWM-Lüftersteuerung, inklusive dreier Lüfter sowie der RGB-LED-Controller sind eine üppige Ausstattung, die zugleich Potential für spätere Erweiterungen bieten. Bei der Beleuchtung hält sich Phanteks dezent zurück und schafft es, eine RGB-LED-Show abzuliefern, die den minimalistischen Look des Evolv X unterstreicht und nicht stört.
Nicht störend ist auch das Kabelmanagement, das Phanteks Design-bedingt mit zwei separaten Klappen löst. Die beidseitigen Glastüren kommen damit besonders gut zur Geltung und man braucht die Rückseite nicht zu verstecken. Das ist leider eine Seltenheit bei modernen Glas-Gehäusen.

Phanteks released a really good-looking chassis with the Evolv X. It’s definitely not a small one, but you need to keep in mind that it can fit E-ATX mainboards, 420 + 360 mm radiators, or 190 mm air coolers, and last but not least – up to 435 mm graphics cards. Even with the default storage setup, you can install four 3.5”/ six 2.5” drives. If you need more, you have to buy the additional brackets separately. This chassis is a pleasure to use; installing the components was very straightforward and quick. There is also a GPU anti-sag bracket included in the package, which can be helpful for the users of bigger air-cooled cards. The Evolv X delivers extraordinary performance with liquid cooling (AIO), keeping the noise levels in the top tier as well. With air cooling, it’s still good, but not outstanding. The combination of features and performance is well above the market average.

However, we can't deny that the Evolv X is an absolutely stunning case with cutting-edge features and design, and we believe it warrants its price tag on many fronts. It has the best cable routing system we've ever seen, excellent water cooling and storage support out of the box with even more space for SSDs and hard disks using optional brackets, plus it can even house a second system - not bad considering how much smaller it is than the Corsair 1000D. You get attractive but not in-your-face RGB lighting and reasonable cooling performance too. What you're looking at, though, is possibly the best ATX case of 2018, and we think it will be a while before anything else comes close.

...because this thing is absolutely loaded with features. Now Design wise it's a familiar structure, unmistakeably and evolve enclosure its available in black, gray and silver. I have the silver one here. It's got an aluminium exterior, which looks fantastic and has that good mixed between clean lines and cuvature and to the touch it feels awesome and it's completely refined no sharp edges anywhere the glass is perfect ....
