Recording Podcasts and Music like the Pros
For professional podcasters and musicians alike, Rode has developed the Rodecaster Pro II. It offers a full-fledged audio studio in a compact format with nine channels, to which virtually every microphone or instrument can be connected thanks to Neurik's combo inputs. The low-noise Revolution Preamps and Aphex signal processing ensure that voices or instruments are recorded crystal clear. A total of eight SMART Pads with bank switching can be assigned with jingles or samples.
The Rodecaster Pro II by Rode provides extensive connectivity options for individual recordings up to recording discussions. Four combo inputs are located on the back of the compact audio studio. In addition, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, for example, for smartphones to include external conversation partners.
Alternatively, a mobile device can also be connected via Bluetooth. Music can be played from a PC via two USB-C connectors. Four 3.5mm headphone jacks are available for monitoring. Two external speakers can also be operated via headphone jacks.
Audio signals sound phenomenal thanks to preamplifiers
Internally, audio signals fed in are processed by a preamplifier. In addition, Rode has equipped its Rodecaster Pro II with the professional Aural Exciter by Aphex. When its effect is active, highs gain additional quality and lows can be enhanced by the Big Bottom effect at the touch of a button. This makes voices particularly clearer and more distinct.
Furthermore, there is a studio-quality compressor, a noise gate, a high-pass filter, a de-esser, and a three-band equalizer for each channel, all fed by Aphex. Speaking of sounds, a total of 64 sounds or samples can be triggered via eight SMART Pads. The button illumination can be configured individually.
For post-production, an extensive software is available on a PC or Mac connected via USB-C, which can also be used to configure the Rodecaster Pro II. Recordings can be saved either directly on the computer or on a MicroSD card at the podcast studio - a practical solution for recordings on the go.
