Das Montage-Upgrade-Kit NM-i17xx-MP83 ermöglicht es, ältere CPU-Kühler von Noctua mit 83 mm Montageabstand für Intels LGA1700 Plattform (LGA17xx-Familie) nachzurüsten. Das Set ist auch mit über 15 Jahre alten Kühlern kompatibel, was zur Reduktion von unnötigem Abfall beiträgt und wertvolle Ressourcen einspart.
Dank des quadratischen Layouts der Montagelöcher auf LGA1700 ist es mit den NM-i17xx-Sets ohne Probleme möglich, einen Kühler um 90° gedreht zu montieren. Dies setzt voraus, dass ausreichend Platz vorhanden ist und keine anderen Komponenten im Weg stehen.
