Support for AMD Ryzen Master
The AMD Ryzen Master Utility for Overclocking Control, aka Ryzen Master (external download link), is a practical tool allowing all AMD Ryzen CPUs, thanks to their unlocked multipliers, to be quickly and easily overclocked. While overclocking is ordinarily performed via BIOS/UEFI, Ryzen Master allows this to be done within the operating system directly. The clock frequency of the processor is determined by the Baseclock (BCLK) which is multiplied by a known factor. With a standard 100 MHz BCLK and a multiplier of 40 we receive the standard 4,0 GHz Boost Clock of a Ryzen 7 1800X.
In order to overclock a Ryzen CPU via AMD Ryzen Master, the following requirements must be met:
- An X370- motherboard or B350 chipset must be present
- The Ryzen CPU must receive appropriate cooling
- Use of the tool requires the activation of HPET in Windows 10
- The Power Plan in Windows must be set to „High Performance“
- Reading the Ryzen Master user manual is highly recommended
- Attention: Overclocking invalidates the guarantee!
