Allow Cougar to present the Vantar, a flat gaming keyboard that represents a pleasing combination of precision, functionality and design. Design & LED Lighting
Visually Cougar has kept the flat Vantar keyboard relatively simple. The input device comes in basic black, while conveying the impression of brushed aluminium. The extremely flat design is reminiscent of a laptop keyboard and looks especially premium sat on a desk.
From the perspective of the keyboard’s lighting, Cougar has provided a few possibilities for customisation and personal expression as it can be illuminated in eight possible colours (white, yellow, blue, orange, turquoise, green, violet, red) along with eight effects (Rainbow 1, Rainbow 2, Breathing, Wave, Constant, Rhythm, Customize, Ripple). Furthermore the lighting can, of course, be adjusted in brightness or turned off entirely if preferred.
Functions & Components
With regard to the inbuilt capabilities, Cougar has chosen to focus their energies on the most important and essential of functions for gamers. For example, using the FN button opens up the entire F key row and additionally enables convenient media controls. Thanks to the integrated Win-Lock button the Windows key can be deactivated, preventing accidental activation and the swift defeat that is sure to follow. To maximise freedom and individuality, the WASD and arrow keys can also be switched. Anti-ghosting is also provided for up to 19 simultaneous key inputs and rubberised feet come as standard.
Equipping the keyboard with premium and extremely flat Scissor Switches lends the Vantar a hugely comfortable feel during use, as well as pleasantly quiet keystrokes. Quick reaction times also present no problem and give its proud owner a decisive advantage in online battle.
