80 Plus Gold Efficiency Power Supplies with Powerful Single Rails
With a thickness of just 15 cm the highly compact design includes Cougar’s modern DC-DC down-conversion for the +5- and +3,3 Volt rail. Thanks to this type of voltage conversion, GX-F Series power supplies are extremely versatile: Almost the entire rated performance can be delivered to the +12 Volt rail – all while in environmental temperatures of up to 50 degrees.
Cougar takes the noise produced by mid- and top-end products seriously. To that end the power supply uses a 135 mm fan with quiet hydrodynamic bearings which is then controlled with advanced fan control methods. At low loads the fan spins down to below 550 RPM and in doing so becomes virtually inaudible. The airflow-optimised fan grills also reduce the potential for air turbulence, helping to ensure the highest possible performance.
