The Alpenföhn Matterhorn 2 Aurora Black combines high air cooling performance with addressable RGB lighting for gaming and high-end systems. With a 200 W TDP, four heatpipes, and a powerful 120 mm fan, it offers substantial cooling reserves in a compact design.
- 200 W TDP: High cooling capacity for powerful CPUs
- Direct Touch: Four heatpipes directly absorb CPU heat
- 120 mm ARGB: Cooling and lighting combined in one fan
- 500–1,800 RPM: Flexible speed control via PWM
- RAM-friendly: Space for full memory installation
Four heatpipes for direct heat transfer
Four 6 mm heatpipes quickly transport processor heat into the cooling tower. Heatpipe Direct Touch places the heatpipes directly on the CPU contact surface, shortening the heat path. Airflow-optimised aluminium fins then distribute the energy over a large cooling area. Alpenföhn specifies a cooling capacity of up to 200 W TDP.
120 mm PWM fan for demand-based cooling
The 120 mm fan operates between 500 and 1,800 RPM and can be controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. Up to 120.34 m³/h airflow supports rapid heat dissipation through the cooling tower. A static pressure of 2.43 mmH2O helps guide airflow effectively through the fins. The hydraulic bearing ensures smooth operation.
ARGB lighting in a compact design
The ARGB fan and illuminated top cover showcase the CPU cooler effectively. The lighting connects via a 3-pin ARGB header to a compatible motherboard. At 158 mm in height, the single-tower cooler remains relatively compact and allows for full RAM installation. Supported platforms include AMD AM5 and AM4 as well as current Intel platforms.
