VESA Monitor Mounts
The "Video Electronics Standards Association" (VESA) is an organization in which numerous member companies have come together to create unified specifications for graphics and video. This includes wall mounts for the alternative placement of one or more flat screens (such as monitors and televisions). These wall mounts, also known as "VESA mounts," ensure optimal viewing comfort at home and improve the working environment in offices and conference rooms. They are ideal for all users who have been dissatisfied with the setup and adjustment options of their TFT screens so far.
Monitor Mounts - The Right Viewing Perspective Matters
Individual adjustability reduces eye, neck, shoulder, and back pain. Mounting with a small wall distance also enlarges the work area and creates space on the desk. In addition to mounts for directly attaching monitors to the wall, there are also multi-jointed wall mounts with enhanced adjustability through additional swivel arms and joints for flexible screen positioning, which can also increase the wall distance to the mounting plate or allow more than one screen to be mounted.
- To mount wall brackets made from a sturdy combination of steel, aluminum, and plastics, the corresponding screen must be VESA-compliant and have square or rectangular mounting holes on the back, typically spaced at 75x75, 100x100, or 200x200 mm. Depending on the dimensions and weight of the screen, at least four screw threads should be provided.
- Displays mounted with corresponding wall brackets can be continuously swiveled horizontally (swivel function), rotated vertically (pivot function), and tilted up or down (tilt function), depending on the product.
- Depending on the mounting system, the permissible weight of the monitors and supported sizes (inches) must be observed. Instead of predominant wall mounting, certain monitor mounts also allow for desk mounting, an ideal solution to significantly facilitate ergonomic work at the screen.
