External
External
Not all cases allow the installation of a water cooling system, for example, when space is very limited. Many users are also deterred by the effort associated with installation. Nevertheless, one does not have to miss out on the excellent cooling performance with low noise that water cooling offers. For this purpose, external water coolers are extremely practical.
External water coolers are all-in-one sets that combine the radiator, pump, and water cooling control in one device. They can be more powerful the larger they are. Additionally, they require very little work. You only need to install the water cooler in the PC and connect it to the external water cooler. Maintenance of an external water cooler is very simple.
External Water Coolers - More Design, Performance, and Control
An absolute advantage of external water coolers is certainly that they do not need to be installed inside the case and thus can be extremely large. For example, there are 720 radiators or radiators with nine 120 fans. Radiators of this size are difficult to realize even in big towers. Another advantage is that the often stylish external water coolers can also be freely positioned. With the appropriate cable length, they can be placed away from the PC, where they are barely audible.
External water coolers are also connected to the PC's power supply. However, a small slot cover must be installed in the case and internally connected to the power supply. Often, the slot cover also includes the hose passages for the water pipes. When purchasing an external water cooler, consider:
- How many fans and what radiator size does the respective PC system really need?
- What additional functions are required (fan control, LED display, sensors, etc.)?
- Is the external water cooler's case visually appealing/suitable for the interior?
