Full HD is the perfect resolution for monitors up to a size of 25 inches (approx. 64 cm). At this screen size, about 90 PPI is still achieved. The smaller the monitor, the sharper Full HD appears. Therefore, 1080p is also suitable for all monitors smaller than 25 inches (approx. 64 cm).
What Resolution is Best for Gaming?
The best resolution for gaming depends on the game genre and the graphics card because it's more important that your games run smoothly than at what resolution. For single-player games, 60 FPS is already smooth, but in online multiplayer, where quick reactions against real opponents are required, PC players tend to favour higher frame rates, at least 120 FPS.

Which is Better: 4K or Full HD?
Whether 4K or Full HD is better depends on your preferences: If you care about impressive image sharpness or use a particularly large monitor with a screen diagonal of 32 inches (approx. 81 cm) or more, then 4K is the better choice. The pixel density of Full HD is not suitable for PC screens of this size. Full HD, on the other hand, consumes less computing power and always has the edge in FPS. This also means you can crank up the graphics settings. At the same graphics presets, you will always have more FPS in Full HD than in 4K.
Is All Full HD the Same?
As mentioned earlier, resolution is not the only factor determining a monitor's image quality. Full HD monitors have many other features that contribute to the viewer's experience. An important characteristic of Full-HD monitors is the display panel: TN, IPS, OLED, and VA panels have quite unfamiliar properties that affect viewing angles, colour reproduction, and other factors.
Full-HD monitors are available with refresh rates of 60 Hz for office use and high refresh rates of 240 Hz, 360 Hz, and more, which are of interest to ambitious eSports gamers. The colour depth can also vary between 6-bit and 10-bit. So, not all Full HD is the same, as there is more to consider when buying a monitor than just the resolution.
