The measurement of water temperature serves two purposes in a custom water cooling system: Firstly, it is the best indicator of cooling performance, making the measurement suitable for precise control. Secondly, some control devices allow for temperature-dependent control of the pump and connected fans.
For this purpose, Alphacool offers this practical Eiszapfen temperature sensor, which is simply screwed into a G1/4 inch thread. It can be used, for example, on the radiator, expansion tank, or the water coolers of the graphics card and processor. The included external thread adapter can be unscrewed.
The black thread of the temperature sensor is fully encapsulated and galvanized, eliminating any corrosion issues. The connection cable with a 2-pin connector is 50 cm long. Alphacool follows the common standard, ensuring that the sensor is compatible with many devices available on the market.
