The ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMD's Ryzen 7000 series processors and comes with numerous features for gamers and overclockers. As the Ryzen 7000 series processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and enhanced power delivery, the AM5 socket (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards.
Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, allowing most CPU coolers for AM4 sockets to be mounted on the motherboard.
