The ROG Strix B650E-E Gaming WiFi is equipped with the B650E chipset for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors and comes with numerous features for overclockers and gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 processors require a new socket due to the support of PCIe 5.0 and the enhanced power supply, the AM5 socket (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards.
Despite the higher pin count on AM5, the actual size of the socket remains identical to the older generation, allowing most CPU coolers for socket AM4 to be mounted on the motherboard.
