ASUS SBW-06D2X-U Blu-ray Burner - External, Black
The ASUS SBW-06D2X-U is an external, slim Blu-ray burner with sixfold burning speed, supporting the current BDXL format as well as playback of lifelike Blu-ray 3D. These features are packed into a design that already won the IF Award in 2011. It was inspired by architectural forms in miniature and features an elegant and simple rectangular casing as well as a stand that allows it to be positioned at a slight angle. Thanks to the stand, the burner can be placed both vertically and horizontally, making it particularly space-saving and versatile.

ASUS SBW-06D2X: A compact all-rounder in a stylish design
The external Blu-ray burner ASUS SBW-06D2X-U offers a variety of technical innovations and features in a particularly user-friendly overall concept: The combination of a stylish casing and innovative functions makes this USB burner an optimal solution for both professional daily use and multimedia entertainment at home. The sound quality is extremely high thanks to the lossless signal quality of Dolby Digital EX and DTS-HD (5.1 channels).
Thanks to the BDXL format, massive amounts of data can be burned onto a single Blu-ray disc; i.e. up to 100 GB on a BD-R (TL) and 128 GB on a BD-R (QL). The Turbo Engine enables a 6x Blu-ray burning speed, and up to 2x speed in XL format. The Auto Tuning Power technology offers optimized performance to burn a disc at the best quality.
Secure data encryption and smooth image enhancement
Security comes first, whether in professional or private use. It is important to protect sensitive information from unauthorised access. The integrated Disc Encryption II function provides double protection for the data to be secured. It can protect the entire disc or only parts of it with a password. Furthermore, the user can use Disc Encryption II to hide the visibility of their data, so that even if the disc falls into unauthorised hands, it is not possible to see what data is on it. The data is encrypted with 128-bit AES. Only authorised users with the correct password gain access to the protected data.With the user-friendly interface, the user can burn a Blu-ray disc in just three simple steps. With 3D support, the user experiences spectacular Blu-ray 3D video and 3D photos. With Magic Cinema technology, DVD video is upscaled to full HD 1080p.
