The Ducky x Fallout Vault-Tec Limited Edition One 3 in full-size form factor in detail

The mechanical gaming keyboard Ducky One 3 was designed to offer you the best possible typing experience. Crafted with high-quality materials throughout and optimised for short response times, the Ducky One 3 provides gamers and keyboard enthusiasts with a luxurious typing feel. Additionally, the switches are not soldered but mounted on sockets. This allows them to be easily replaced without any soldering.

The version offered here of the Ducky x Fallout Vault-Tec Limited Edition One 3 is in a full-size form factor. It offers the full range of keys including a numeric keypad, navigation keys, and arrow keys. This makes it equally suitable for gaming and office applications, but it also requires a correspondingly large amount of desk space.

QUACK Mechanics

With this keyboard, the manufacturer introduces its design philosophy QUACK Mechanics. Ducky takes into account four essential aspects that are crucial for the typing experience: the keycaps, the case, the sound, and the stabilisers.

Therefore, this version of the Ducky One 3 offers high-quality keycaps made of polycarbonate (PC). These keycaps are not translucent; the RGB lighting shines through from underneath. The legends are two-coloured in blue and white, as well as yellow and blue, except for the spacebar. Ducky moulds the keycaps from two layers of plastic. The double-shot process ensures longer durability.

Flat case and gentle sound

A common criticism of mechanical keyboards is their bulkiness. The newly developed case of the Ducky One 3 is flatter than that of its predecessors and, in combination with the three-stage feet, relieves wrist strain.

To improve sound and typing feel, Ducky tested a total of 17 different rubber compounds and selected the most suitable variant for the Q-Bounce pad. This is combined with an additional EVA foam layer to effectively dampen typing resonances and hard keystrokes.
