Noctua NF-A14 FLX Fan - 140mm

Noctua is one of the well-known names in the silent cooling sector, with the Austrian manufacturer’s CPU coolers enjoying an excellent reputation. They combine outstanding build quality with high cooling performance and minimal noise generation. The self-developed Noctua fans, which are also available separately to be used as case or CPU fans, play a major role in this.

The NF-A14 is a quiet 140mm premium fan with a square AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame. Its square shape and 140 mm mounting holes make it an excellent choice for use on water cooling radiators or as a case fan. Thanks to advanced aerodynamic design features such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A14 achieves even better silent cooling performance compared to the multiple award-winning NF-P14.

The FLX version offers three speed settings (1200/1050/900 RPM) via the included low-noise adapters, providing full flexibility between maximum airflow and near-silent operation. Its superb smooth running, the SSO2 premium-class bearing, and Noctua’s proven premium quality make the NF-A14 FLX a top solution for the highest demands.

Noctua’s NF-P14 has become a standard solution for PC enthusiasts who require 140mm fans in premium quality. Thanks to extensive aerodynamic optimisations, the NF-A14 achieves even higher static pressure and an improved ratio of airflow to noise compared to its renowned predecessor.

With its square frame and 140 mm mounting holes (124.5 mm hole spacing), the NF-A14 is an ideal premium upgrade for standard 140 mm case fans. At the same time, it is perfectly suited for use on 140 mm water cooling radiators, where the square shape guarantees full coverage of the cooling fins and thus the best pressure performance.

The impeller of the NF-A14 is equipped on the intake side with so-called Flow Acceleration Channels. By accelerating the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, intake-side vortex separation is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-induced noise emission.

Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated vibration pads as well as a stepped inlet design and inner surface microstructures that enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

The anti-vibration pads, made from extra-soft silicone, reduce the transmission of minimal vibrations and are compatible with all standard screws as well as common mounting systems or fan clips used on CPU coolers.

Despite its further improved performance, the power consumption of the NF-A14 FLX is only 0.96W, which corresponds to a reduction of about 20% compared to the previous model. Thus, the NF-A14 FLX even helps to lower the electricity bill!
