Noctua NF-A20 PWM Fan - 200mm

Noctua is one of the well-known names in the silent cooling sector, with the Austrian manufacturer's CPU coolers enjoying an excellent reputation. The NF-A20 is a quiet 200 mm premium fan featuring an AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame and multiple hole spacings of 154 x 154 mm, 110 x 180 mm, and 170 x 170 mm. The award-winning A-series is now available for the first time in a 200 mm format, still delivering high cooling performance and achieving even better silent performance through advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels.

Noctua’s custom-designed PWM IC for fully automatic speed control, as well as the SSO2 reference-class bearing, guarantee superb smoothness and excellent long-term stability. The modular cabling, low-noise adapter, and 6-year manufacturer’s warranty make the NF-A20 a top solution for the highest demands.

The impeller of the NF-A20 is equipped on the intake side with so-called Flow Acceleration Channels. By accelerating the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, intake-side vortex separation is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame features integrated vibration buffers, a stepped inlet design, and inner surface microstructures that enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

The anti-vibration pads made from extra-soft silicone reduce the transmission of minimal vibrations and are compatible with all standard screws as well as common mounting systems or fan clips used on CPU coolers.

The NF-A20 PWM supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua’s new, custom-designed NE-FD1 chip for this purpose. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua’s Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimises PWM switching noise and makes the fan even quieter at low speeds.

The NF-A20 is equipped with the further optimised second generation of Noctua’s proven SSO bearing system. In SSO2, the rear magnet is positioned closer to the fan axis, resulting in even better stabilisation, which leads to improved precision and durability.

Despite its high performance, the NF-A20’s power consumption is only 0.96W, which is considered very low. This means the NF-A20 even helps reduce your electricity bill!
