The Features of the PHANTEKS T30-120 Fan Triple-Pack in Detail

In close cooperation with Sunon, one of the leading fan manufacturers, PHANTEKS has developed the T30-120. Both companies incorporated their many years of experience in the air and water cooling sector. The result is a high-end fan with aerodynamic optimisations and clever features.

Thanks to its high airflow and static pressure, the T30-120 is suitable for the use on radiators and air coolers, but also makes for a excellent case fan due to its low noise emissions.

T30-120: Optimised frame design and unique LCP material

Due to its bigger frame design with a thickness of 30 mm, the T30-120 has 25 % higher fan blades. This increase in surface area results in significantly better airflow, as well as an optimised airflow-to-noise ratio. In addition, the small impeller gap of only 0.5 mm reduces air turbulence and therefore noise emissions.

Both the frame and the rotor with its fan blades are made of glass fibre reinforced LCP material (Liquid Crystal Polymer). Liquid crystal polymer has a significantly higher mechanical strength and temperature resistance than normal plastics. These qualities ensure high stability, durability, and a reduction of vibrations.

Three Fan Profiles: Prepared for any Scenario

With three different fan profiles, the T30-120 can be used in different scenarios or systems. The modes differ in their maximum speed and make the fan suitable for performance-oriented system builders and overclockers, as well as gaming or silence enthusiasts.

The Advanced mode enables the maximum performance of the T30-120. With up to 3,000 rpm, this mode is best suited for extreme performance requirements such as servers, workstations, or overclocking records.

The performance mode is recommended for most system configurations. The T30-120 spins at a maximum of 2,000 rpm and offers a balanced performance-to-noise ratio, ideal for gaming systems of all types and performance tiers.

The hybrid mode with its semi-passive operation fits the needs of silent enthusiasts. If the PWM signal is below 50 %, the fan stops spinning. Only above 50 % will it start up again and rotate at a maximum of 1,200 rpm. This mode is particularly suitable for low-noise systems such as office computers, HTPCs, or multimedia PCs.

The high-quality three-phase motor from Sunon and the magnetic Dual Vapo bearing ensure smooth and quiet operation at all times. The anti-vibration pads on the frame additionally reduce vibrations and oscillations.

The T30-120 uses a 4-pin PWM connection with a cable length of 130 mm. The cable also features a 4-pin PWM socket, which enables daisy chain operation. For the connection of multiple T30-120 fans only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard. A 50 cm extension cable is included for neat cable management and increased flexibility during installation.

Der Lüfter hat ein extrem weites Drehzahlband, das als Alleinstellungsmerkmal auch für den Award sorgt. Der Phanteks T30 lässt sich dadurch sehr flexibel einsetzen und allen kühltechnischen Lebenslagen anpassen. Das muss man erst einmal schaffen. Gut, 30 Euro für einen finsteren Gesellen sind nicht wenig, aber wer wirklich Performance sucht, wir hier gern bluten.
