The TP-Link TL-SG108 switch with a metal casing features eight ports with a maximum data rate of up to 1,000 Mbps. The TP-Link TL-SG108 has a functional design and can be used either standing or mounted on a wall. The TL-SG108 is an unmanaged switch (plug-and-play).
If one of the eight RJ45 ports for Gigabit LAN is not in use, the switch cuts power to that port, thereby reducing power consumption. Another green feature is power allocation based on cable length. The switch analyses the cable length and adjusts the power allocation according to the actual cable length.
