AMD

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X from the Vermeer processor family features 8 CPU cores based on the "Zen 3" architecture. This represents the fourth generation of the Zen microarchitecture. Compared to its predecessors, each processor core can now directly access the L3 cache. Together with higher clock speeds, this means more performance and significantly smoother gameplay.

  • 8 "Zen 3" cores with only 65 Watt Thermal Design Power (TDP)
  • 16 threads thanks to Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT)
  • Base clock of 3.4 GHz and 4.6 GHz turbo with Precision Boost 2
  • Large cache memory: 4 MB L2 and 32 MB L3 cache
  • Tray version without CPU cooler!

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-core CPU with 4.6 GHz Precision Boost 2

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X has eight physical CPU cores that, thanks to Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), can process two threads simultaneously each, effectively doubling the number of computing cores to 16 with the additional virtual cores.

This mid-range eight-core model operates at a high base clock of 3.4 GHz per core, which is precisely adjusted in real time to the respective application scenario using Precision Boost 2 and can be increased up to 4.6 GHz turbo within the Thermal Design Power (TDP) limit of 65 watts.

PCI Express 4.0 with AMD X570 or B550 chipset

In combination with an AMD X570 or B550 high-end chipset, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X supports the PCI Express 4.0 standard. PCIe 4.0 is backwards compatible and can be used with all expansion cards from previous generations.

Each PCIe 4.0 lane offers double the data transfer rate compared to PCIe 3.0, so an NVMe SSD connected via four PCIe 4.0 lanes can achieve a theoretical read/write speed of up to 7.8 GB/s.
