Machined from a block of solid aluminium, this backplate can be mounted in combination with a kryographics NEXT 2080, helping to better distribute pressure across the VRM of the graphics card. The backplate is anodised in black and offers a machined contact area for the rear-mounted GPU RAM modules.
Apart from the visual enhancements the backplate provides, it also increases the overall stability of the graphics card when paired with a water cooler. This effectively ensures that the PCB does not suffer excess torque from the screws used on the other side of the graphics card for installing the primary cooler.
The backplate is not compatible with the factory default RTX cooler, does not have water flowing through it, and is not designed as the primary heatsink - nor can it be installed on its own. It is designed for use with all kryographics NEXT 2080 water coolers from aqua computer. Die The necessary screws are included.
