ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO LEAKSHIELD Reservoir in Detail
A reservoir that protects your system — the ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO with LEAKSHIELD uses negative pressure to ensure that no coolant escapes and drips onto your hardware. It also continuously monitors the loop for even the smallest leaks — and can do so before the system is even powered on.
The ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO Reservoir also helps you fill the system via a suction line and allows you to monitor the fill level thanks to the integrated LEAKSHIELD system.
High-Performance Pump for Advanced Custom Cooling
The aqua computer ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO LEAKSHIELD stands out with its use of borosilicate glass rather than acrylic. This makes it tougher and especially scratch-resistant. It also offers excellent chemical and thermal resistance with minimal thermal expansion.
The glass tube has a wall thickness of 5 mm and an outer diameter of 65 mm. A stainless steel mesh filter is integrated into the base of the reservoir to trap particles and eliminate air bubbles. The filter is easily removable and can be cleaned under running water.
Both the top and base of the ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO are made from tough acetal and are connected to the tube using aluminium rings. The ends of the glass tube are securely attached to black anodised aluminium rings, which do not come into contact with the coolant. This clever construction eliminates the need for internal supports or additional tubing.
How LEAKSHIELD Works
LEAKSHIELD creates negative pressure throughout the cooling system. This means that in the event of a leak, coolant won’t escape; instead, air is drawn in. To maintain negative pressure throughout the entire loop, you must adjust the pressure depending on your coolant pump.
If air does enter the system, it is removed again by the integrated vacuum pump in the LEAKSHIELD unit, maintaining the vacuum. Only in the case of a major leak (e.g. a completely detached tube) might coolant escape.
Powerful Performance with the D5 NEXT Pump
Mounted directly at the base of the reservoir is an aqua computer D5 NEXT pump. It features a high-resolution OLED display and extensive control and configuration options. The pump is secured with an aluminium ring at the base of the reservoir.
Key Features of the D5 NEXT Pump at a Glance:
- Ceramic ball motor for smooth, long-lasting operation
- Integrated RGBpx lighting for visual effects and error signalling
- Built-in coolant temperature sensor
- OLED display can be operated without PC software
- PWM fan output with up to 25 watts of power and RPM monitoring
- RGBpx LED output for up to 90 addressable LEDs
- Alarm buzzer for audible alerts
- aquasuite software for convenient configuration, monitoring, and data visualisation
Customise Your Pump with Lighting
The reservoir includes a digitally addressable RGB LED ring with 13 RGB LEDs. The RGBpx ring can be easily slid over the reservoir, illuminating both the tank and the coolant inside. Made from silicone, the ring diffuses light evenly and minimises unwanted LED hotspots. The RGBpx ring features both input and output connectors, allowing you to daisy-chain multiple LED rings.
Note: The reservoir is supplied without fittings! These must be purchased separately.
