AXAGON
With the PCEM2-DC, AXAGON offers an internal adapter that connects both an NVMe M.2 SSD and a SATA M.2 SSD to the PC via a PCI-Express slot. This is particularly useful if the motherboard does not have a corresponding M.2 slot or if these are already occupied. The adapter supports the use of single- and double-sided M.2 SSDs in x16, x8, and x4 PCIe 3.0 slots. Data from an M.2 NVMe SSD is transmitted directly via the PCIe bus, while M.2 SATA SSDs connect via a SATA connector linked to a corresponding slot.

The PCI-Express bus powers the PCEM2-DC directly, so no external power source is required. Thermal pads and a bracket with an active fan help dissipate the heat generated by the M.2 SSDs under load. Two LED indicators provide information on whether the connection is established and the activity of data transfer.
