NZXT RGB and Fan Controller V2

The NZXT RGB and Fan Controller V2 is a modern combined control unit for fans and RGB in a PC system. It is aimed at PC modders and enthusiasts who want to centrally manage lighting and cooling.

Function & Technology

The controller combines RGB control and fan management in one module and is connected to the motherboard via an internal USB 2.0 header. A SATA power connector supplies the module (max. 36 W). Three channels are available for fans, which can be expanded if needed with splitters (included). If the power limits are exceeded, the fan output is switched off.

Lighting & Compatibility

The RGB section offers 6 channels, each supporting up to 40 addressable LEDs, and according to the manufacturer allows a maximum total of 160 LEDs. Important: The controller supports only NZXT RGB components with a proprietary connector – generic ARGB / 5V LED strips are not compatible.

Design & Mounting

The casing is compact (approx. 100 × 70 × 16 mm) and offers several mounting options: built-in magnets, Velcro straps, or screw mounting like a 2.5″ hard drive. The USB connector is double-row and occupies two headers on the motherboard, which should be taken into account in tight builds.
