When you open your PC after six months to perhaps install new hardware, you might wonder if all the dust in the universe has somehow ended up inside your case.
That’s not entirely far-fetched (okay, maybe a little), but when you think about the airflow generated by constantly running fans, it quickly becomes clear that your PC could also be described as a continuously operating vacuum cleaner.
While it’s great because you don’t have to dust your room as often, it’s not good at all for your components or the cooling performance of the case.
Once your fans are completely covered in dust, you’d have to remove them entirely to clean them properly. And who wants the hassle of constantly removing the CPU fan and dealing with thermal paste every two weeks?
This is where easy-to-clean filter cassettes come to the rescue. When attached to case fans, they can prevent dust from entering the case altogether.
As a bonus, the filter slightly dampens fan noise.
The filter grille must be attached to the fan using four screws, which are not included in the package.
