Thermal Grizzly from Hamburg is a new German brand that has made it its mission to combat high temperatures and poor heat transfer. The goal is to supply the overclocking community with high-performance thermal interface products, which still represent a weak point - however, the product portfolio can also be used for better and quieter cooling of gaming computers, workstations, mini PCs, and many other purposes. In addition to higher clock rates, better thermal interface products enable quieter cooling and a longer lifespan for the components being cooled.
To achieve these goals, Thermal Grizzly has closely collaborated with the well-known extreme overclocker Roman "der8auer" Hartung during product development and testing, developed chemical compositions, and analysed competitors. The product line is now being expanded with an innovation in thermal pads: Thermal Grizzly's Carbonaut.
Features of the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut thermal pad at a glance:
- Non-adhesive thermal pad
- Made from carbon-based polymer with nanoparticles
- Long durability, no drying out, wear or decomposition processes
- 0.2 mm thickness and 32 x 32 mm for Intel CPUs for socket 115x
- Developed in collaboration with Roman "der8auer" Hartung
Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut: Powerful
As the name suggests, the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut is made from a carbon-based polymer that has been reduced to nanoparticles. This fine structure ensures that the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut has a significantly higher thermal conductivity compared to other carbon-based thermal pads. And that is just one of the many advantages of these thermal pads.
In terms of durability, the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut leaves all other thermal solutions behind. The material is virtually immune to decomposition processes. This ensures high stability in thermal conductivity and simultaneously provides an almost unlimited lifespan, while thermal paste needs to be replaced regularly.
Flexible and Elastic
The flexible carbon fibre structure also provides excellent thermal conductivity that can compete with thermal pastes in the mid-performance segment. Nevertheless, the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut thermal pads are designed more for durability than for extreme overclocking. The contact pressure is also important: the firmer the contact between the water cooling block for graphics cards or CPU coolers, the better the conductivity. Thanks to the elasticity of the Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut, the thermal pad can be easily pressed down, compensating for the smallest component differences.
The Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut is available in various sizes - here 32 x 32 mm. The size is suitable for Intel CPUs for socket 115x.
Caution! Please pay attention to the manufacturer's warnings before use! The Carbonaut is electrically conductive and should not come into contact with MOSFETs or voltage converters.
