High-Performance Cooling Solutions - Made in Germany
Thermal Grizzly presents a new product with KryoSheet, which is part of the company's advertised "High Performance Cooling Solutions". The graphene thermal pads from the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet series can serve excellently as an alternative to high-performance thermal pastes. Similar to the Carbonaut pads, they possess an adaptable surface with very high thermal conductivity.
Compared to Carbonaut pads, KryoSheet offers significantly higher thermal conductivity as a high-end product. This enhanced thermal conductivity is based not only on the choice of material but also on the innovative manufacturing process. KryoSheet contains no liquid components and is therefore not subject to ordinary aging, as is the case with traditional thermal paste. Drying out is not possible.
What makes KryoSheet so special?
The KryoSheet graphene pads feature a Z-direction stacked molecular structure. This optimised structure allows for outstanding and consistent thermal conductivity. This is due to a specially developed manufacturing process that breaks up the hexagonal crystal structure of graphite along the basal plane to exploit the anisotropy of the thermal conductivity of graphite. However, as a side effect of this elaborate manufacturing process, the electrical conductivity is also increased, affecting the stability of the KryoSheet pads, so the pads should only be used according to instructions!
Due to the optimised thermal conductivity of KryoSheet compared to Carbonaut, the focus of the graphene pads is on enthusiast products in the end-user segment as well as industrial applications. Examples of the use of KryoSheet include refurbishing used graphics cards and notebooks/laptops.
Who benefits from KryoSheet?
Here, the easy application and durability of the KryoSheet pads are advantages. The long lifespan of the pads means that they are maintenance-free. In addition to applications in industry, such as server construction, this is also an advantage in home PC building or in the OEM sector. Since the pads do not need to be replaced like thermal paste at regular intervals, elaborate maintenance is eliminated.
The pads should be purchased in a size that is minimally larger than the area to be covered. In the case of an Intel desktop CPU (Socket 115x, 1200) with a heat spreader (IHS) size of 32 x 32 mm, the KryoSheet should be chosen in a size of 33 x 33 mm. After cleaning the contact surface (CPU, CPU cooler, GPU, GPU cooler), the KryoSheet is simply positioned on the processor or graphics chip to be cooled before the cooler is mounted.
Warning!
KryoSheet graphene pads are electrically conductive and must not come into contact with electrical components!
