    LED Strips for RGB Gaming PCs

    How are RGB strips connected and controlled?

    Most LED strips connect to an RGB or ARGB header on the motherboard and are controlled via the manufacturer’s software, such as ASUS Aura Sync or Gigabyte RGB Fusion.

    Some exceptions include Corsair LED strips, which connect via an iCUE controller, and Lian Li Strimer cables. These extension cables for motherboards and GPUs can be controlled wirelessly via a Lian Li controller without requiring a dedicated ARGB header.

    Fixed LED Strips

    If you don’t need adjustable or multi-color lighting, fixed-color LED strips are a simple alternative. These are typically powered via a 4-pin Molex connector from the PSU.
