560mm Liquid Cooling Radiators

A radiator is just as important as the water cooler itself in a water-cooled system because the radiator must extract the heat absorbed by the water. This is achieved through its finned surface, which is cooled by a fan in the case of an active radiator. A 560-mm radiator can accommodate four 140 mm fans. 560-mm radiators are suitable for big towers as they offer extremely good cooling performance and require considerable space due to their size. Such a radiator is particularly worthwhile for hardware enthusiasts.

Material, cooling performance, and sufficient space are crucial

For a 560-mm radiator, as with all other radiators, attention must be paid to the fans to be mounted, its cooling performance, and its material. Copper or brass is usually used as the base material for a radiator, sometimes additionally nickel-plated. The frame, on the other hand, is often made of stainless steel or aluminum. It is important to ensure that the radiator's material matches the rest of the water loop to prevent chemical reactions with other elements in the water cooling loop.

Most 560-mm radiators have two to eight G1/4 ports for connecting to the water cooling loop and 16 holes specifically designed for four 140-mm fans. Even with a 560-mm radiator, one should consider how many sources need to be cooled by a water cooler. If you do not use high-end components and multiple graphics cards, a smaller radiator that consumes less power is more economical.

When purchasing a 560-mm radiator, the following should be considered:

  • Does the overall performance of the 560-mm radiator and fans match the components to be cooled?
  • Is the case large enough for a water cooling loop with a 560-mm radiator?
  • Is the material of the 560-mm radiator compatible with the rest of the materials in the water cooling loop?
