The most common diameter for water cooling connections is G1/4 inch. However, there are other sizes and diameters like G1/8 inch and G3/8 inch, etc.
Legris connections are named after the company Legris and are used for the simple and tool-free attachment of the hose to a threaded connection. Similarly, plugin connections serve the same function but are not from the aforementioned company. Both types are simply inserted into a hose and held in place by a type of barb.
