Socket
AMD EPYC 8004 processors use Socket SP6 and are designed exclusively for single-socket servers. They are not compatible with SP5, SP3 or AM5 motherboards.
Memory
Six DDR5 memory channels at speeds of up to 4,800 MT/s are supported. Compatible DDR5 ECC RDIMMs are required for professional servers. The possible total capacity depends on the motherboard and memory configuration.
Motherboard
An SP6 server motherboard is required for AMD EPYC 8004 CPUs. Check the CPU compatibility list, motherboard revision, supported TDP class and required BIOS version before purchase.
Cooler
