PC Peripherals
For a desktop PC, input devices and other accessories, collectively referred to as peripherals, are essential. Some components from the realm of computer peripherals are mandatory. At least one mouse or keyboard is required to enable the basic functionality of the PC. With both a keyboard and mouse in operation simultaneously, a PC unleashes its full potential. In our online shop, we offer not only input devices but also Hi-fi and audio solutions, mobile data storage, as well as network and WLAN devices. All of this PC accessories constitute peripherals. Illuminated Keyboards: Eye-Catching Additions to Your Desk
In modern keyboards, LEDs and RGB LEDs are commonly used. While gamers often use them for visual effects, ergonomic keyboards benefit from illuminated keys or backlighting. Another popular option is TKL keyboards (TKL = Ten Key Less), which do not include the number pad on the right side, making them particularly space-saving. Keyboard switches are a matter of personal preference
The biggest controversy and the trigger for numerous discussions revolve around the topic of switches. Here, the main differentiation lies between mechanical switches with tactile feedback and so-called "rubber dome switches". While rubber dome switches are typically flatter and commonly used in office keyboards, many gamers prefer keyboards with mechanical switches.
Gaming Mouse, Mousepad & Mouse Bungee
This unbeatable trio within computer peripherals is a must-have, especially for gamers. However, even in the workplace or home office, one should not do without a mousepad. When purchasing a computer mouse, one should pay attention to the following:
- Wired or Wireless
- USB, WiFi or Bluetooth
- Claw Grip, Finger Grip or Palm Grip
- Optical or Laser Sensor
- RGB or no illumination
A mouse can generally be used for both PCs and laptops. Usually, a free USB port is required for this purpose. The mouse is connected to this port via a USB cable or a USB dongle for a wireless connection. For the ergonomics of the mouse, not only the shape of the "rodent" is relevant, but also how you hold the mouse. With the Palm Grip, the palm rests on the mouse, while with the Fingertip Grip, only the fingers are on the mouse. With the so-called Claw Grip, the palm rests on the mouse, and the fingers form a claw, pressing down on the keys from above with the fingertips.
The type of sensor has become less important nowadays, but it's still advisable to choose an appropriate mousepad. This can slightly optimize the sensor's scanning. Mice with Qi charging function require a compatible mousepad so that it can charge the mouse or provide power to it.
Mouse bungees help with managing the mouse cable and keep it straight and guide it. This ensures that the cable is always where it should be and prevents it from dragging across the table. This way, it won't get caught at a critical moment during your favourite shooter game, potentially leading to defeat.
HiFi & Audio: Headsets, Speakers & More
Sound systems in the form of headsets, microphones, speakers, or soundbars are indispensable nowadays. They deliver sound, atmosphere, and enable communication with others. Especially for cinephiles, audiophiles, and gamers, outstanding sound quality is highly valued. For streamers, good microphones are an essential part of the streaming setup. In the audio/Hi-fi domain, one must not only pay attention to the audio outputs of the sound card or motherboard but also to the compatibility of the individual components of the sound system.
When it comes to headsets, there are basically two types of connections: USB and the 3.5 mm audio jack. Many USB headsets come with their own integrated sound card and support various surround sound standards. For example, with 7.1 surround sound from Dolby, you can hear the direction of a sound much better in games than with stereo sound. With many headsets and microphones, the sound experience can be adjusted through the corresponding software.
Networking and Wi-Fi
A functioning network is essential, whether wired or wirelessly through Wi-Fi. The network serves not only to connect to the internet, for activities like collaborative gaming, but also to interconnect various devices at home. Switches act as hubs for wired peripherals such as laptops, NAS devices, consoles, TV sets, or even servers and workstations in professional environments. Alternatively, with a Wi-Fi router and repeater, you can establish a sophisticated wireless network at home, in the office, or at LAN parties. This allows you to provide stable internet access to mobile devices like tablets or smartphones.
Batteries and Power
Power supply for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and entertainment electronics in the form of chargers, power strips, or simple power cables are essential components of the electronics and PC industry. Because - attention to the obvious - nothing works without power. In addition to chargers for wall outlets and vehicles, which allow you to charge laptops, mobile devices, or battery-powered peripherals.
