Akasa Galileo TU3 Thin-Mini-ITX 1U case, OEM - black

So far, only a few cases can accommodate motherboards in the standard Thin-Mini-ITX form factor. However, the Galileo T from Akasa supports this form factor, which was introduced by Intel with their own boards (e.g. DH-61AG or DQ77KB).

The Akasa Galileo TU3: Ultra-thin rack with ample space

Since the motherboards are extremely compact and super flat, the corresponding cases should also be as small as possible to not negate the advantages of Thin-Mini-ITX. Despite its small dimensions, the Galileo TU3 offers a total of four internal 2.5-inch slots for SSDs or HDDs.

Designed for mini systems

The Galileo TU3 case (here as an OEM version without brand logo) from Akasa was developed for such systems and can be used either lying flat or directly mounted on the VESA mounts of a monitor. Specifically tailored to Thin-Mini-ITX, it is very space-saving and above all flat in design, but besides these purely practical aspects, it also brings a very elegant look to the table or behind the monitor.

Robust construction and mature connectivity

Brushed aluminium makes the black Akasa Galileo TU3 a discreet yet stylish companion, which also fits wonderfully as an HTPC case in any hi-fi setup.

The front is only interrupted by the obligatory power button, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports each, as well as two status LEDs. The lid area, with its equally elegant finish, is interrupted on the left end by a louvered section.

Passive cooling with metal fins

This fin structure is essential for the noiseless concept of the Galileo TU3, as the louvers passively dissipate the motherboard’s heat to the surroundings without the use of fans. The two heat pipes included in the delivery conduct the heat from the Thin-Mini-ITX board’s processor to the fins, where they lie in two matching profile mounts before the lid is placed on and the construction sealed.

Compatible with server racks

A special feature of the Galileo TU3 is the possibility to install the case in a rackmount. The form factor of the Galileo TU3 is 1U, and the required front panel is included.
