With the PK-Zero, cooling specialist Prolimatech offers a thermal paste that is slightly more affordable compared to the extremely popular and highly acclaimed PK-Nano series, designed for high-end applications. Depending on the area of application, this 5-gram tube is sufficient for some uses.
The PK-Zero is an excellent choice when it comes to efficiently transferring heat from a CPU or GPU to a heat sink. Prolimatech's thermal compound can be used with their own products such as the Genesis or Megahalems, as well as with products from other manufacturers.
Based on silicone and zinc oxide, the PK-Zero is designed for optimal heat transfer, making it a product suitable for gamers and home users with high demands who do not want to spend a fortune on a convincing thermal paste. The thermal resistance is a good 0.019 °C-in²/W and the thermal conductivity is 8 W/m-°C.
The excellent values are mainly due to the nano particles of aluminium contained in the paste, which fill microscopic gaps between the heatspreader and the cooler base, preventing air pockets. Additionally, the PK-Zero is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and hardly dries out.
