Detailed features of the Creative Sound BlasterX G6

The Creative BlasterX delivers incredibly detailed and powerful sound thanks to its high-resolution DAC and high-performance Xamp headphone amplifier. Inputs include USB 2.0 and even optical in / line-in via a 3.5 mm jack. The built-in SB-Axx1 sound chip processes the input signal and, with support for Dolby Digital decoding and virtual 7.1 surround sound, provides remarkable accuracy and a high level of detail.

On the side of the device, there are three buttons for controlling the additional functions of the Sound BlasterX G6. When SBX is enabled, stereo signals are upmixed and output as surround sound. When SBX is disabled, multi-channel sound is downmixed to stereo. The Scout Mode amplifies gaming-relevant sounds such as footsteps or gunfire, making them easier to locate and identify — a decisive advantage in intense battles.

The Xamp headphone amplifier amplifies both audio signals separately, resulting in more detailed highs, mids, and bass. The extremely low output impedance of only 1 ohm drives demanding studio headphones with 600 ohms just as perfectly as sensitive 16-ohm in-ear monitor headphones.

The microphone and headphone jack connectors on the front of the device are easily accessible. A rotary control for quick volume adjustment is also located there. Thanks to its universal connections, the Sound BlasterX G6 is compatible with both PCs and consoles.
