The ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus WiFi is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMD's Ryzen 7000 series processors and comes with numerous features for gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 processors require a new socket due to the support for PCIe 5.0 and enhanced power delivery, the AM5 socket (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards.
Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, allowing most CPU coolers for AM4 sockets to be mounted on the motherboard.
