Switches & Buttons
Switches & Buttons
In everyday life, many people have probably never wondered about the difference between a switch and a push button—if there is one at all. However, there is indeed a difference, and it is particularly important for advanced tinkerers: Simply put, a push button operates only as long as it is pressed, while a switch activates or deactivates the circuit permanently. The power button of a case is usually designed as a push button, which needs to be pressed just once briefly.
Highly Secure Vandal-Proof Switches/Push Buttons
In the case-modding sector, it is typically such push buttons like the power button that are changed for aesthetic reasons. However, an installed LED lighting system and much more can also be controlled via a switch or push button. Particularly secure models are the vandal-proof switches/push buttons, originally from the industrial sector, designed to withstand vandalism. They are consequently almost indestructible and, most importantly, tamper-proof from the outside. Some vandal-proof buttons in our range combine both aspects: with a pressure point (for lighter pressing) and a latching position (for deeper pressing), they function as both push buttons and switches.
